You have identified that e-marketing and social media
marketing is an important component for your
organization. You have developed a digital marketing
strategy and integrated it into the overall strategy of
your organization. You know what digital tools you want
to deploy within your organization. You have started to
establish a presence within these tools or utilize them
within your organization.
Where do you go from there?
The Power Workshops that are offered as part of the
Digital Marketing Program are designed to address this
specific question. Through the various certificates
that are offered, participants have the opportunity to
explore the potential of multiple social media and
e-marketing channels. Once you have identified where it
is that you want to go, the Power Workshops provide more
details, specific, hands-on guidance to assist you with
optimizing the channel or tool that you have selected.
For some of the Power Workshops (HootSuite, Google
AdWords, and Google Analytics), at the completion of the
workshop, attendees may be ready with a bit more
preparation to complete their certificate exams. In
these cases, examination fees are NOT included in the
workshop fee.
The Power Workshops are designed to be offered as a
semi-customized program. During the program you will
work with YOUR OWN social media channels or digital
marketing. In order to accommodate the additional
guidance and hands-on training, workshop size is limited
to 15 attendees for the 1 Day Workshops and a maximum of
6 attendees for the 2 Day Google AdWords and Google
Analytics Power Workshops.
Each workshop will have pre-workshop preparations
that will need to be completed to provide the
facilitator with key information about the
organization’s strategic objectives for the digital tool
or channel being addressed. It is important that
attendees have administrator access for the social media
channel or digital tool. While not required, it is
highly recommended that the workshop facilitator be
granted either limited or administrator access to the
tool or account as well to allow for effective review
and to facilitate the ability to provide strategic
guidance. Additionally, some workshops will necessitate
attendees to supply graphics or supporting materials or
have a budget (and credit card access) to spend on
pay-per-click advertising campaigns as part of the
workshop. The exact requirement will depend on the
workshop being completed and the specific objectives of
the organization.
Prior to attending the Power Workshops,
attendees must typically have completed a prerequisite
module from the Digital Marketing Program. In some
cases, experiences users may be exempt from the
prerequisites, but this will be determined by the
workshop facilitator.
