Since 1986, the Gardiner Centre (formerly the PJ
Gardiner Institute for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship) and Memorial
University's Faculty of Business Administration have recognized
entrepreneurs from our province with the prestigious designation of
"Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year".
This award celebrates the achievement and
entrepreneurial spirit of an individual who is strengthening our
province's economy and business community as well as serving as a role
model for today's youth.
Each year, a selection committee with
representatives from the Faculty of Business Administration, the
Gardiner Centre and the private sector gather to review nominations and
select a winner. The Award is presented at the Faculty of Business
Administration's Annual Partners Dinner.
Please note, the deadline for nominations
for the 2012 Award, is Friday, February 10, 2012.
